And the Hail Comes

Published by thetractorchick at 1:49 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

This past weekend was a new experience for Pal, not in a good way.  He had his first hail storm here in NC.  NOT FUN!  I’m SO very Thankful that I had already put him in his stall to eat.  As I was finishing up the water it started, then golf balls started to rain from the sky.  On a tin roof it’s loud and to a blind horse I could only imagine.  Pal was so scared he shook in his stall with all fours spread out as if the earth was shaking under him.  I knew there was little chance he could get hurt in his stall and I was NOT about go step foot in there.  From the outside I talked to him, letting him know it was ok and FINALLY the hail turned into rain and all was fine.  I have to say I was worried.  I wonder what he would have done outside if he was loose since the other horses were running around like crazy…
